Studio Practice
STUDIO PRACTICE
Studio Practice enables participants to learn the foundational skills, essential materials, tools, and most-commonly practiced techniques in the many fields associated with the Decorative Arts, Textile Production, and Residential Interior Painting.
Through various activities and projects, participants gain an enhanced awareness of the fabrication studio environment and explore their creativity through skills such as glazing, weaving, gilding, faux finishing, resist-dyeing, large-scale painting, stamping, and much more. Classes may also include guest speakers and studio tours.
Studio Practice is held in person at The Alpha Workshops’ studios within Powerhouse Arts. There are no attendance requirements. Prompt arrival is encouraged.
At this time, registration and materials are provided at no cost to eligible participants.
