2016 Alpha Award Winner - VP+C Partners

With a passion for design products and environments, it represents world class brands — Hunter Douglas, JCPenney, kate spade new york Home, Rocky Mountain Hardware, Time Warner Cable Media and Valspar Paints, among them — and has won awards for bar-raising marketing events for clients such as Dyson, GQ Man of the Year, Joe Fresh, Mercedes-Benz and Sony.

How did you first hear about The Alpha Workshops?

We’ve been involved with Alpha in one way or another for over a decade, planning events in former posts, serving on event committees, and working with the organization through our amazing clients. And our team has been going all out for the Masquerade Ball for as long as we can remember. We plan our outfits (always a coordinated group effort) for months in advance and are known for slightly misinterpreting the theme. Yes, we were KISS for the Black and White Ball.

We all jumped at the chance to help Alpha develop and manage its social media channels- we were thrilled to be able to take a larger role in supporting the school and the studio and hopefully growing both.

What drew you to the organization? 

Design is our specialty, and we are simply enchanted by Alpha’s beautiful mission as well as its extraordinary work. We are honored to be counted as members of their team.

 

What do you see as the future of design?

The future of design is hard to predict since the past is such a strong inspiration.  But we see so much innovation from our clients and friends every day. The idea that something can be both handmade or custom but also high-tech is fascinating. We love that the need to be sustainable/adaptable/reusable is becoming less of a trend and more of a given, and that social responsibility is finding its way into so many business plans.
